Things are going good, but the garden is still on the front lawn

Johnny's mom, nephew & sister are here now, a day early, with another dog who ate the cat food & who the cat attacked by hiding behind the chair !! It was funny --- Very Funny at least to Ben & I who saw it (no major injuries)

Everything else is going well, but @ 210 mph ! Been to the Fair to see rabbits & horses, and saw pigs, chickens & alpacas too as well as a goat that tried to eat my finger at the petting zoo part. Went camping and to camp for a day and off to Lewis & Clark Caverns--- no one got scared in the dark, but really enjoyed the slide (the kids & Johnny and escort Chris did, I was pretty slow going down all those stairs---that's the part I forgot !, but they wouldn't get scared of rattler snakes either and so we ran down to the campground at the bottom--- so glad only one person saw me, & neither Jaymark nor Juliet fell---after a quick sandwich, we were off to the rodeo. The trail I remembered was only 1.3 miles but I guess it was 1.8 miles, and so the nap I envisioned after some story time disintegrated into thin air ! They have such quiet & beautiful little voices, and wonderful laughs ! Eating most everything and try it at least. Only one upset when she teased him & he got tired of it, but they can both dish it out pretty well !! Totally exhausted, Totally fulfilling, Totally engaging. Totally awesome.

Now that Johnny's mom & sister are here, we set out a path through the calendar and filled up every moment. I'll be running behind trying to keep up all week. We start out with Dentist appointments tomorrow in Three forks at 8 am--- and then another full day. Today we cleaned the house for "Grandma Johnny" (Johnny's mom) and washed the dog, but they are a day early, so didn't get to the front garden YET !

I have worked on it in the rain and at midnight with a head lamp on, but bit by bit --- somehow --- it might be done by first frost !!

The HOPE WALK is Successful

HOPE Walk is Successful  --- the Airline Tickets have been bought. Now we have many other things to do to get ready !!!  Like get the bedrooms ready and finish the gardens, get the bushes in (some were only $ 3.00 a pot ! --- for bushes ! and they are doing the best)

Juliet & Jaymark arrive July 14 at about 3:15 p.m. at the Bozeman Airport, and I think anyone is welcome to join us as we welcome them. (They leave August 10th @ 6 a.m.)

The Hope Walk

Getting ready, making plans for the summer, seeing how everyone else is doing

The Banquet Bar-be-que &  Awards for the Fund Raisers
after the Walk, when they had talleyed up the total
pledges, we had at least $ 12,079. Our goal had been
$ 21,000.  More came in during the following two weeks,
and Johnny & I alone added another $150 to our
original pledges raised to $ 1827.08

Getting ready for a fun summer !

Morning in Yellowstone from the Car.

This was Bluebell Pool, down in the West Thumb Area, I think.  After riding so much, we put on our rain coats and took a stroll around this bubbly area. Had to stretch our cramping muscles from sitting so much.

On a Car & Bike Ride through Yellowstone

One morning, we got up real early and drove to lower Yellowstone National Park, but had to be back up north in Mammoth for the dedication of the Yellowstone Association's new Headquarters at the old --(Mann?)--------- building in Gardiner, Montana. At 1:00 !!  Johnny had to do a news story, so as usual, we have Saturday's pleasures mixed with Monday News Stories.  The plan was to stop along the way and find places to bike ride. But the clouds, & then rain moved in & it got worse and worse.  So we drove on.  In the meantime, we have decided the best 2 places to take Jaymark and Juliet when they arrive, July 14.

Then we went for a bike ride south of Madison jct. at Fountain Flat Drive (behind the Lower Geyser Basin) towards Fairy Falls, and Midway Geyser Basin, stopping to rest at Goose Lake, and exploring off in the backcountry some.  So Coool.  At the end of our ride, we were rewarded with a coyote, as he ran right in front of my bike, (which is why I don't have pictures) and a bit later, this geyser, Ojo Caliente. This memory is infused into my memory as the sun was going down and everything was in  bright & vibrant colors.
